Well, after 2 hours of dealing with Samuel not wanting to go down for a nap, I took another feel in his mouth and found out that he's got a total of 4 molars coming in (2 on top and 2 on bottom). He still hasn't cut any of them. I know they are killing him because I don't remember the last time it took him 2 hours to settle down for a nap. It normally takes him 5 minutes or less to settle down. I let him cry, but then I did all I could to help him: Motrin, 2 diaper changes, Hylands teething tablets, singing to him, and rocking him in my arms. Poor thing was exhausted and couldn't get to sleep. I put him down for the 4th time around 3PM, and he cried a few minutes before falling asleep. Thank the Lord for answering my prayer! Those horrible molars! Now I just have to decide how late to let him sleep... I normally wake him up at 4PM if he's not already awake, but that would be a short nap for a worn out boy. I better end this and decide what I'm going to do.
